INFORMATION
All students work towards our annual performance, held in November or December. The concert is an exciting experience where students enjoy costumes, hair and makeup, backstage preparations, and most importantly, the thrill of performing on stage. It provides a meaningful goal for students to work towards throughout the year.
While participation is not compulsory, all students are strongly encouraged to take part. Routines are learnt during regular class time, with an additional rehearsal scheduled closer to the performance date.
A concert levy of $85 per family will be added to Term 4 fees. This levy covers:
- Digital video links to all concert performances
- Access to all performance photographs (stage shots and headshots)
- Backstage staffing costs
COSTUMES
As part of the annual concert, students will have the opportunity to perform in costumes appropriate to their dance style and routine. All costumes are selected and supplied by Dancexcel.
A costume hire fee will be charged for each routine performed, with this cost spread across four terms. Students may also be required to provide additional items such as socks, stockings, or undergarments.
Please note:
- Students enrolling in Term 2 or Term 3 will be charged costume fees retrospectively for previous terms.
- If a student will not be participating in the end-of-year performance and therefore will not require a costume, Dancexcel must be notified before the end of Term 2.
