Dance Styles

READY SET DANCE

A creative, fun and dynamic program for students aged 3 to 6 years, incorporating Ready Set Dance and Ready Set Ballet; introduces children to dance, rhythm and movement; basic dance skills; build self-esteem and confidence in a nurturing environment.

HIP HOP

High-energy street and commercial style classes! Focused on free, funky and soulful movement with an emphasis on creativity, and self-expression. 

Note: Students must be currently taking ONE Jazz class to take this class.

LYRICAL

Merge Ballet’s technique with contemporary’s expressiveness. Free-flowing movement that focuses on storytelling with fluidity and emotional depth.

Note: Students must be currently taking a minimum of TWO Classical Ballet or ONE Jazz class to take Lyrical.

CONTEMPORARY

A fluid blend of modern dance with classical technique. Emphasizing expression through movement with creativity and strength.

Note: This class is by Invitation/Audition only.

EISTEDDFOD TEAM

Eisteddfod classes are choreography based, putting together competitive routines for students selected to participate in Showcases and Eisteddfods. These classes are offered in Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary and Musical Theatre and are by invitation/audition ONLY.

JAZZ

Full of energy and style, Jazz is a current and upbeat style that combines sharp movements with a strong basis of technique and rhythm to create dynamic routines. style of dance with a strong basis in technique.

CLASSICAL BALLET (RAD)

MUSICAL THEATRE

A specialized class that combines dance and acting that focuses on storytelling. Often based on some of the most well known Musicals, this class teaches students how to perform with flair and emotion.

Note: Students must be currently taking a minimum of ONE Jazz class to take this class. 

ACRO

Acro classes allow students to develop acrobatic skills and other tricks, in a safe and supportive environment, these skills can be a great addition to an well rounded dance. –

Beginner: No minimum level required. Working Towards: Cartwheels, Handstands, Round Offs, Walkovers. – Intermediate/Advanced: Minimum skill level required: Competence in performing one handed cartwheels and handstands. Working Towards: Side and Front Aerials, back and front handsprings, back tucks, kip ups, headstands and other tumbling combinations.

Note: Acro will appear as a separate charge on the Term Fees for $185 per term (Not included in Schedule of Fees).

INDUSTRY

Our Industry Classes provide our Eisteddfod Team with the opportunity to train with leading professional choreographers from across the dance industry. These guest artists bring real-world experience, fresh perspectives, and current industry insights into the studio, challenging dancers to grow technically, artistically, and professionally. Each class is designed to inspire excellence, expand performance skills, and expose students to diverse styles and creative processes, supporting their development as confident, versatile performers.
